I was wrong about the collapse of the stock markets a few weeks back and I am glad I was, but the day is coming and I am drawing this from a eulogy given in Russia in approximately 1864 that said clearly they would pull the plug on a day of their choosing, a day they would plan in advance.

I take them at their word in the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion.  I suspect they will do this purposely in the hopes that they will be able to ride the crest of the wave they precipitate. They think they can control this just like the controlled all the other crashes they have caused.
